Learning Objectives Evaluation
November 30, 2017
Working for two different businesses and meeting the deadlines was very difficult. Balancing school, my full-time job, and my internship was a challenge. I quickly learned that I would need to wake up earlier to get my internship assignments done before going to my other job. Keeping a well-organized planner along with regular meetings and phone calls is crucial to be successful at staying on track.
Paper #2: Research Proposal
November 19, 2017
This research proposal examines the methods and findings of how cultural differences affects communication within the workplace.
An increase in globalization throughout the world has led to an increase in cultural diversity within the workplace. A community is considered to be culturally diverse when there are different races, languages, religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations represented. Communication can lead to the success of a business or to its demise, depending on the level of effectiveness. A diverse workplace can lead to an increase in innovation, ideas, and overall performance. But, when there are people from varying backgrounds present or working on the same team there is bound to be some barriers, confusion, and even misunderstandings.
Learning Objectives
October 04, 2017
The following are four specific learning objectives I have for my internship. My main goal is to learn everything I can but I have listed more specific ones as well. By listing these goals and why they are important, I hope to motivate myself to continue to push through the tasks and projects and grow.
Reflections: Curating My ePortfolio
August 19, 2017
This is my third class with Professor Lietzenmayer and I have to say that the ePortfolio is one of my favorite projects. I did not have to create my ePortfolio from the ground up but I did spend a good amount of time curating it. I changed color schemes, photos, and updated my resume. New opportunities have crossed my path and I really wanted to create a more professional appearance than when I started this page almost three years ago.
